The Reynoldston Junction signal cabin was put into operation after several near miss's caused by locomotive crew's racing to get to the 'Dodford Falls Bridge' first and thus blocking movement by other locomotives and their trains!! The above picture shows the view through the cabin window with the main line across the lawn behind the Ash tree. At this cabin is the sole signal on the tramway. Its quite tall as so to be seen from far-off. Engine crew's that ignore this signal do so at their peril! (October 2011)

Here is a picture showing N.U.T. No. 1 at the 'Dodford Falls Bridge' with a test train. As you can see the signal arm is 'on'. The bridge sits on sandstone abutment's sitting on the river bed, and also has a plank 'walk-way' for line side staff. The bridge cost me around £20 to build it. A commercial company wanted £86 plus postage to make it...Gasp!
Here are some views of inside the cabin with Taffy Davies just raising his left arm (as we have caught him by suprise!) trying to look busy....Note the kettle/milk bottle and mug ready for that important cup of 'caw-fee'...what a life!
The cabin is needed at this location as the entrance to the Junction yard has a more or less four way point right after the bridge! Trains have to back over the bridge to get stock into the various sidings. Not a good way of doing things but 7/8" scale is so big and space is short!....'Needs Must'....
Here are two 'side' views of the signal/point control cabin taken on a sunny day. Stationed outside the cabin is 'old Ned' the cabin dog who's job is to watch out for pesky pigs trying to amble over the bridge to "pastures new"! As you can see the managment like contented staff and have provided free!! milk....However after another signal man 'nodded off' when was not supposed to the management removed the glass out of the windows to stop staff getting... "Too Comfortable..."
